Marketing Channels You Can't Ignore

Most entrepreneurs already know that social media is the place many marketing companies secure their focus. But refusing to ignore other methods with proven response and marketing clout is foolish for any businessperson! What are some marketing channels which are proven to make you money, and which you can’t afford to ignore?

Email Marketing

The use of email marketing sounds almost antiquated, and yet it is a gold standard for good reason. Email marketing has a ridiculously high return on investment! Besides giving you back roughly $42 for every dollar spent, it has an almost forty percent rate of engagement, meaning folks do click through often, ready to purchase. Choosing to ignore those kinds of numbers seems silly, especially when there are automated programs to schedule peak times for your demographic.

Direct Mail Marketing

Direct mail has one of the best open rates of any channel. Interestingly enough, younger demographics tend to think of junk mail as something that happens with email, and instead respond to traditional “snail mail” as something special!  This is reverse from what marketing saw fifteen years or so ago, and is fascinating! Smart marketing teams know that if they are trying to reach a younger demographic, using their best modern design and graphics/color trends on direct marketing mail is extremely effective!

Blogging

Blogging seemed to briefly go out of fashion, but has come roaring back. In part this is because it drastically changes your search engine optimization, by showing you have an active site with expert information. This increases the likelihood that local individuals can find you and become potential customers! You want folks to be able to locate you as easily as possible. Use your blog to share expert information and point your social media work towards your blog. Those views add up. Remember, your goal is to have as many eyes as possible on your logo, branding, and work, so that they can remember you when they need your services. If you calculate the amount of return on your investment, you will find that your blog can make you not only have expert opinion in the eyes of those clients you seek, but also a great deal of financial gain.

When figuring out what marketing techniques work for you, don’t discredit traditional means just because you’re familiar with them. Marketing means doing what works, and traditional methods do work, and well. Use what works!
